Windows 8 no activation required




















Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to Bill Smithers's post on November 5, I did not attempt to use the key on another computer. This key has worked for over a year. As my PC is custom built, Windows was not prepackaged - I purchased the key separate.

It is Windows 8. I tried going through the support links, all I ever get is how to activate a product, which doesn't work. In reply to MikeMel1's post on November 5, As an update, I tried to uninstall the product key, since my current was showing up under "Current product key". I was able to uninstall it, but after I tried re-entering the code, it stated the key does not work, but set it as the current product key again. I am very confused as to why it is doing this if it worked before.

Which kind of says the same thing, a slightly different way. Check your KMShost. The output you showed us earlier, clearly confirms that your KMShost is not using an R2 product key.
