Attachments are available for the weapons in Crysis 2. The silencer will be the most important because when paired with the cloak mode on the nanosuit, the player is completely silent.

The heavier machine guns are suggested for when the player is in a big combat battle. The handguns are suggested for when the player is going to be in a closed off area with fewer enemies. They are made to allow the player to defend themselves. The different handguns in Crysis 2 are the nova, hammer, and majestic.

There are also personal defense weapons in Crysis 2 that are best for characters in vehicles. They are small and easy to carry but are also capable of automatic fire. They include all of the sub machine guns and machine pistols in the game: the ay69, feline, and the k-volt.

They shoot their ammo in a spinning motion to allow for greater chance of accuracy. The two specific shot guns in Crysis 2 are called jackal and marshall. The different assault rifles in Crysis 2 are scarab, scar, and grendel. The different marksman guns include the DSG-1 and the Gauss.
